ETS Alexander Hagberg Winning RD1 Season #13 2020/21

Winning an ETS is obviously a big deal, but the emotions really showed through after the Volante Modified A2. Alexander Hagberg had a perfect drive in A1 yesterday evening to take the win. Behind him, Ronald Völker was able to get past the second place starting Bruno Coelho in the first minute, and the World Champion then dropped back through the field. Marc Rheinard stayed around one second back on Ronald, not able to start challenging him as perhapd his attention was on Elliott Harper who remained on the tail of the famous German for the five minutes. Ronald sat in second, with out the speed to challenge Alexander, who opened up a two-second gap by the end.

In A2 this morning, Alexander again led the field away, this time Bruno looking faster and able to open a small gap over Ronald. This time, Marc was the faster of the Germans, getting past Ronald just after the 1-minute mark. Once again, Elliott hung onto the coat tails of the German World Champs, but all this allowed the Xray boys to stretch their legs out in front. Alexander was clearly in a race of his own, as not even the current WC Bruno could run with his team mate, finishing up one and a half seconds back. A very emotional Alexander recevied the congratulations of his competitiors and team mates as he left the driver stand, clearly very happy to be able to repay Xray for their faith in him and all the work the whole team have done to develop the as-yet unreleased T4’20 platform.
